Why? It promises to eleminate 90% of all crimes and 90% of all wars. The only crimes left are crimes of passion.
Think of the benefits. Reduced Crime, drug dealers and black market industry over, an end to political corruption!!!

You have to take the mark in order to buy or to sell. My solution... don't buy and don't sell. Work for free! Here is the Idea. If you want a new big screen TV you walk down the assembly line and build two as you go; following them along. You get to take home one and give the other to a retired person or a person who has a "dirty job". You want a new car? Build two... take one home and donate the other. Need groceries? Take in the produce from your garden or flowerbox in your appartment and donate it to the grocery store or food production plant, and take home your groceries for free! Of course the farmers get a sizeable donation. Then what once a year you take your country's portion say 10% of the GDP and donate it to Israel. Israel then redistributes it to the impoverished countries. It's a national TITHE!!! We try to pull the world out of poverty.

The antichrists have been here for thousands of years and so have the raising of the beast of revelation to where the whole world is set up on the same evil principals. There will be no money in the kingdom and not one of mans manufactured items will survive. Likewise not one person who has it in their hand or heart when judgement comes will survive.

So "small and great" have yet to be marked. Is a SSN similar to the mark of the beast. Very Possibly!

Being a "newbie" I had to deal with the first 10 post review. I thought that they were under review and that they would automatically post via review. They didn't. Then I surpassed the 10 posts, and they still didn't show. A couple were introductions, and they didn't show so I reintroduced myself. I also had some difficulty posting and replying when I first registered and my account had been activated.
[b]Now for a strong disclaimer!!! I never said that I wanted to take the mark of the beast. I thought I had made that clear in the post itself and addressed it again in the second post. Clearly I have been misunderstood, first due to the "shock title" of "the mark of the beast is good" and then the leadup to my response to the mark where I spoke sort of in sarcasm. Yet the way I truly feel about the mark is not to take it... WORK FOR FREE![/b]
There is a societal system that can take place without the mark and that is what I was encouraging. A moneyless system. I am looking foreward to the implementation of the mark in that It WILL polarize this world, in that It will make people question how important buying an selling is. And it also means that there are approximately 3 years left until the Lord Our God establishes His kindom.
To put it in perspective, I was taking the darkest of Christian understanding and turning it into light...

Being a "newbie" I had to deal with the first 10 post review. I thought that they were under review and that they would automatically post via review. They didn't. Then I surpassed the 10 posts, and they still didn't show. A couple were introductions, and they didn't show so I reintroduced myself. Yet the way I truly feel about the mark is not to take it... WORK FOR FREE![/b]
There is a societal system that can take place without the mark and that is what I was encouraging. A moneyless system. I am looking foreward to the implementation of the mark in that It WILL polarize this world, in that It will make people question how important buying an selling is. And it also means that there are approximately 3 years left until the Lord Our God establishes His kindom.
To put it in perspective, I was taking the darkest of Christian understanding and turning it into light...

I think you are exactly right but you're generalization of Hollywood is a bit off. I've never realized this before but after the church service I went to today (http://www.southcrestuniversityministry.org/dustyspeaks.htm) I think I am able to understand this a bit better. In service we talked about what exactly the gospel means for us and the speaker told us the difference between three world views: the religious view, the non-religious view, and the gospel view. This is what I see now: the man of lawlessness is like the religious way of thinking ("I am accepted because of what I do") and that thinking excludes Jesus Christ because he thinks that he can save himself and he does not need the work of the Son of God to save him. A lot of us were like that at one time, until the great falling away!!! Then we realized that we are indeed sinful and can never win our salvation and *we never could!!!!* We then realize that we can *only* be saved because of what Jesus Christ did for us! The gospel way of thinking is "“I am more sinful than I could ever dream. I am more loved/accepted than I could ever hope.” Our old nature, the man of lawlessness who thought he could save himself without Jesus Christ is revealed after our falling away from the faith! When we realize how sinful we really are, we realize that we need salvation outside of ourselves and the world, we need God and He has revealed himself in Jesus Christ. You make a very good point...but I think the falling away has a more dire consequence, because Paul was speaking of it in terms of the Day of the Lord...it's not going to be a pretty sight for those who fall away...for the Day of the Lord is Great, who can stand? Only those who have endured to the end. The antichrist is described as those "who were with us, but have gone out from us"

For example in a small group ministry I started a discussion of "Why I like the Antichrist." Of course jaws drop.
So I explained why. "So many of you hate him soooo much that you want to be the first person to shoot the guy." "I on the other hand realize that if I shoot him I will be creating the very thing I hate. So by default I like him more than you in preserving his life."
Similarly with this post. With such a mark Good things are bound to happen to some people, hearts will change, and many will perish while others will lose their heads.

You have stated the mark will be a good thing, but for selfless reasons. The mark will bring nothing but enternal pain and damnation to those who receive it, and as a Christian, you are supposed to be trying to save people from the mark, not advocate for the beast.
