I had this dream when I was about 25 and I've never, ever, forgotten it. I was sitting in a wheelchair by a beautiful streem. I saw HIM coming up from my left and he asked me: "Do you accept me as you're savior?" I said "I want to but I'm trapped in the chair and I can't get out." He asked me again..."Do you accept me as your personal savior?" ...I said: "I love you but I can't get out of this chair?" He asked me a third time the same thing and before I could even answer (the same answer) he turned as started walking away. I screamed..."I love you, I love you, I just can't get up."

This dream has haunted me my entire life. I do love Jesus and I don't understand why I could not get up. I recall feeling very alone after he left. He is my personal savior. I've always believed.

I was reading a lot of wierd stuff at the time and looking at different books other than the bible. I've always wondered if that was my only chance since he asked me three times and I didn't get up. I think about this dream from time to time... but I pray a lot and never think of it. So...does anyone have an idea about this for me.

Jesus just wanted you to realize that WHAT YOU WERE READING was only PARALYZING YOU, that is, HINDERING YOU from being saved.

Obviously since you have stopped reading NONSENSE (forgive me, but ANYTHING that will send you to Hell is nonsense, even though our now "POLITICALLY CORRECT" world sees it otherwise!!!) (BEURK!)(where is that green head???

Our world is soooooo HYPOCRITICAL!

and full of DOCTRINES OF DEMONS!

I must agree with senteami3 . It was because of the books. The Word gives us life and other spiritual doctrines can be paralysing to us.

Salvation does not happen by what you do in a dream. God gave you that dream and controlled it too. He did not allow you to say anything else, or get up, because that would have taken the real meaning away of the dream. He WANTED you to see that you will stay in the chair if you did not (in real life) choose ONLY Him, the Word that became flesh, Jesus.
You should read the thread about agape and phileo . It is called :(Do You Love God ?)
You will see that God never asks us to phileo Him (emotional love) but He demands Agape love (obeying His Word)
Salvation comes by us believing in the done work on the cross. Jesus died for you, shed His blood and if you accept that, that is step one in your salvation.You haver then been cleansed of your all your sin.Be then baptised and filled with the Holy Spirit

Now your race starts..like Paul tells us. Now you have to learn the Word. Hear it , eat it, and walk in it (do it)

Peter had denied Christ 3 times on his way to the cross.

See how Jesus turned?...away....

Run back...Throw everything down and follow Jesus.
Many are getting the last curtain call and don't even know it.

(Hope), you asked for a diferent perspective, here goes...

...Did you ever see His face? You said he walked up to the side of you. Could it have been Satan appearing as an Angel of Light? You were "delving" into to other things around that time.

Gods expect us to initiate the action to come to him, ie. seek, call on Him, come, ect., yet in this case Jesus came to you to give you a choice? Doesn't sound scriptual. Oh well, just a point to ponder.

Dear Hope, your dream has a simple meaning.

When I love Jesus Christ I must also trust him.

Trust Jesus Christ....no excuses.

Next time you are praying, picture yourself in that wheel chair, and picture Christ approaching you. Envision Christ extending his hand to you and you taking his hand and then getting up and out of your wheel chair walking with him.

What seems so clear to me here is that every time Jesus asked you if you accepted Him as your savior,
You were more concerned about your current circumstance and kept looking at it instead of ignoring it and looking at Jesus, kind of the way Peter did when he got out of the boat to walk to Jesus.

Jesus wants us to keep our eyes on Him and not the past or current circumstances of this world and our life.

set some time aside and let Jesus know what you have been feeling about this, he wants you to have a one on one resationship, give this to him and make up your mind that when he puts a ? to you again that you dont limit him by unbelieve in what you are, for he can make you stand out of the chair at anytime, for he sets out of time. It is never over until you die and face him, the fact that you still feel that you did wrong in this dreams shows that your heart isnt harden, but that you limit yourself and inturn limit what he will do through you, you can to all things through Christ that strangthens you, all!

This post is probably in the wrong place...! However, thank all of you for your insights. The dream has always bothered me but you are right. He has always been there for me. I was reading some stupid things and was trying to find my "path." My belief in Jesus and what he did for us has been with me since childhood. I did see his face in sort of an "odd" way not very clear. Maybe it was something evil and Jesus was keeping me in the chair. Anyway, it was good to hear other ideas about that dream. I think I will pray about this dream and get up! I feel better just hearing what all of you had to say.

Hi Hope, I would just like to share what the Holy Spirit showed me about your dream. When we are given a dream we need to search the scriptures for understanding as to whether it is from the Lord. Your dream is a teaching from the Lord through the Holy Spirit. Your being in the wheelchair is symbolic of your weaknesses and the river is symbolic of the Holy Spirit. Please pray about this and ask the Lord for guidance in understanding why He is showing you this. I pray this will give you comfort.

I did many very dumb things in my life, and when through a time of doughting the true love that my Heavenly Father has for me, even had help from others around me to say that i was so out there that i would be the lest likely to be savied by his grace, but that wonderful grace washes away sin, the beginning of Faith is Jesus, He is the auther and finisher of our Faith as well, let his Love fill you and drive you life, push out anything alse that would seek to drive that idea away from you. I am desprite for his love and the love is prevoking to me, i long to be with him as much as i can, when every i can, and i refuse to give ground to dought of what his is willing to do in my life. This is what i long for you to have, the driving and prevoking love for him. I can already see that its there. That the Lord has driven you here, to be with us, and get set free from this member from the past. I noted that when you posted my posts two times that there wasnt anything posted from you. I just read what you wrote to Hope and I just have to tell you how blessed that I was in reading it.
The Love of Jesus is just pouring out of your words my sister and I'm so very blessed to witness someone displaying Christ's love in such a tender and heartfelt way!
