is it just me or does it seem as though many people look for any little thing and call it end times.
Even under "tribualtions" we got pre, post, wrath. and who knows what else and people all have something to say. But the end times isn't here but no matter what...emotions fly.

I know of a few people that just post general bible topics and appreciate that they do that.
I sometimes read general bible topics I don't agree with but appreciate that they are focused on
studying.

I admit that I may post something once in a while about end times because I am human and curious however how much time should I try to link Daniel, Isaiah, Revelations, etc. etc.

Isn't this mortal life supposed to prepare SOME of us that are going to be rulers in our next lifetime?
Can one be a ruler when all they did was gaze at signs in the sky verses gazing into the bible?

u r not wrong but consider this: people in Jesus's time were excited. they knew a messiah was coming because daniels prophecy or the 70 wks told them it was time.

we are in the same boat. we know it is close...we are excited

plus, i think personality makes one prone to the end times excitement...my father in law is a great christian, but could care less if the end is today or 10000000 yrs from now...

i love justice, the movies where john wayne kicks the bad guys tale etc...

I can guarantee that there is more fear than excitement.
But that is my personal opinion.

well, fear is of the devil.....God says 365 times in the Bible "fear not"..thats once for every day of the yr...not by chance i dont think......I know people that fear it. Honestly, those people are not right with God. Jesus said those who love his appearing will get a crown. I dont know how many crowns i have earned or will earn. But i will get that one.

the day of the Lord is a terrible thing in many ways...the Bible calls it a day of darkness...That is why there will be silence in heaven for half an hr (in my opinion). When those in heaven see what is about to me unleashed on earth...they will stand in awe.....a lot of people will die in trib and a lot will go to hell...those are bad things of course...but, when my savior bust on the scene on that white horse, man talk about goose bumps!!!!!!!!!!!!! the ultimate superhero comes to save the day!!!

These sure are exciting times though.

Like those street signs that say,,,,,,Main street, 500 feet ahead.

The sign means,,,soon, you will be at main street.
What do you want to do when you get there?
Go Straight, left, or right?

These times,,,these the end times,,,,say that we better make sure we are in the right lane to go the right direction.

Some,,,,are just focused on the signs though,,,,and they will miss their turn.

If someone were to only look at prophecy and never look at any other scripture I could see that you might have a valid point. But there is over 1/3 of the Bible devoted to prophetic scriptures. It is my opinion that the Lord gave us these prophecies so that we would be able to discern the signs and times. He tells us many times throughout scriptures that we are to be ready, to watch to not be decieved and so forth. The only way that we can be assured of this is to be familiar with the Word. We also must be spiritaully grounded and our relationship with the Lord must have preemience in our lives. He tells us in many of the scriptures concerning the end that the "Wise" will understand or have knowledge and see things beginning to unfold.



Will the end be fearful only to those that are not Christ at His coming! Do I have a reverent kind of Awe and Fear of the King of Kings the Ancient of Days you better believe I do! But to say that I fear in the respect that you are speaking of no I do not fear. We must not fear what man can do to us but have fear (awe) of a God that can send our souls to Hell!



I must say I am not excited about the days ahead so to speak, but I can tell you I am excited to meet my Jesus! The days are drawing to an end and I so looking forward to meeting my Saviour.

Messiahiscoming

i know a few people that are glued to TV and break down end times all day long. when we start talking about basic topics they can't hold a decent conversation using scripture.
I also know this girl (which we are not friends any longer due to her choice) that FREAKED OUT when she thought she was going to get laid off. She didn't renew her lease on apt, moved to her stuff to her sisters and secluded herself. She found another job while she was still employed (never got laid off). THen she was all "Praise JESUS!." Now if a thing like employment freaks her out i can imagine her falling apart when end times do really happen.

i just don't get it sometimes...that's why i was wondering, what is the fascination?
not really putting anyone down. I once told a member here....I like studying so much that I don't want end times in my lifetime because I want to continue learning and witnessing.

Oh and a side note...I think in scripture it says we won't "meet" Jesus in the sense of saying "hi" and exchanging conversation. All eyes will see Him but the great majority will not meet Him personally. Don't quote me on it but i think theres sometihng in Isaiah about that. That is something else though.

When Christ Jesus walked among the disciples and the Pharasees...didn't he say,
The Kingdom of God is Now at hand.
For this means to me then that since the resurrection of our LORD, since then we have been living in the End of Days...those who lose their life and follow Christ Jesus.
God will not leave us or forsake us...THE ANCIENT OF DAYS is the Beginning and the End.
But the Kingdom of God lives within us....and Time is short for the Devil...but we will have eternal life with Christ. Blessings to you.

Daniel 9: 24-27

read it...and notice just in recent events how clearly this verse speaks to us.

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to RESTORE and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: THE STREET SHALL BE BUILT AGAIN, and THE WALL, even in TROUBIOUS TIMES.

all you have to do is read current events and see this is happening NOW. remember the rebellion of the restoreing of the street not long ago...and Olmert has given permission to uncover the Temple. But the stone the World rejected WILL RETURN some day for us...blessings to you in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen

Remember the day that Saddam was hanged...and they wanted him hung before sunrise...because of some kind of sabbath for the Muslems or Sunnie or Shitites I'm not sure which one (for they all worship false gods and maybe all share a common god of gods who knows)...but know one knows for sure if this was violated.(the time he actually was hung other than what the media has said)..whether or not he was hung before or after sunrise. If he was hung after sunrise then it violated their rituals and false laws...and just as Jesus was the Lamb that was slain for our sins and transgressions... BUT the Devil is a Liar and a Thief and he thought he was some kind of King like Neb you know.... as he never even was remorseful of all the crimes he commited against humanity..yet defiant to the end...and his last words where..Israel is Arab! In other words.... come against Christians and Jews and anyone that would not bow down to their false gods. LORD have mercy. So you see this could have been part of that...when the sacrafice is taken away...by not doing as they wanted. Just some thoughts though, it seemed revelant at the time it happened, and I know that God is in control no matter what. God Bless you.

Why the big beef with end times study? It is one thing that drew me in (not "THE" thing, though) but I think we need to remember that along with fellowship and studying (including "end times") we should be mindful that maybe there are some unsaved people reading our posts. We don't know who, or how, the Lord will draw someone to Him. Everything I post I try to include everyone in the audience, not just the ones who are already "in".

God loves all his children, and the Sermon on the Mount comes to mind..suffering that is going on...so much it breaks my heart. Turn our hearts LORD to you, Our first LOVE.

What is my biggest fear...that people's hearts will become hardened..not being able to cry.
SHELL shocked into sleep. The LORD our GOD would not let this happen, for he is Mighty to save...but it's seen in the eyes of hatred and revenge and deniel..which hurts the Spirit of the LORD..
I don't have to look at a foreign land to see this, I can see it happen with many people I love..they won't let gooooooooo of the pain and receive the Grace of our Savior Jesus.

I truly beleive with all my heart that God is merciful, and any one whom calls out to Jesus will be saved.

You didn't offend me . I was writing in response to the original topic post. I was saying that end times study is what interested me into learning about the Bible and God and right living. What I meant was that the Holy Spirit draws people in different ways. End times study is one way...you didn't say anything wrong IMHO

Its both the most important and least important aspects of Faith to me really. I find God couches truth in these types of situations (seeming paradox that actually does work once really understood).

Its incredibly important to take the messages he sent us so we can understand how critical this all is - and to also know where we are in the present. I think rarely does it want to tell us the future - but more to give us an indication of where we are now so we can really see how little time there may be for the internal decisions that must be made.

Also, however - your world ends when you die. So... Who cares what goes down after that if you're world has ended!

Indeed He is Mysterious and full of Wonder! We may never understand the systems He's used for all this, but at least we know He gave us tools to work with if we try!
