Mat 10:40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. Mat 10:41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. A prophet's reward is the word of God. These verses are about receiving and getting to keep that which was received....Receive Christ and you automatically receive God. Recieve a prophet and be blessed in the word of God. Receive a righteous man and I would expect that reward to be very salvation, for is that not the reward of the righteous? We are called to also give and to give according to our ability to give, even so much as a of cold water to slake a thirst will have a benefit in that day. Truly the mustard seed proportion which springs up and becomes a great tree.
