The moon is not a sign of future events. It is a sign for the seasons so that we know when to plant our crops and what month and year we are in. Same for the planets and the stars. They are signs for the night and the day, the winter and the summer. Nothing more. Interpreting dreams and reading prophetic signs in the sky is the way of Babylon. We should avoid it at all cost.
Isaiah 47:13 Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, [2] the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. 14 Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves [3] from the power of the flame:
Jeremiah 27:9 Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:
Ecclesiastes 5:7 For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities: but fear thou God.
Jeremiah 23:25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. 26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart; 27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal. 28 The prophet that hath a dream, [6] let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the Lord. 29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? 30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord, that steal my words every one from his neighbour. 31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord, that use their tongues, and say, He saith. 32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the Lord, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the Lord.
Zechariah 10:2 For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.
Which is not to say that God does not speak in dreams. However we must be extremely wary to believe or give any credence to dreams. Especially over the Internet where we just do not know the people who are dreaming or know from their works whether or not they are of God or whether they are false dreamers and diviners.
I believe that there will be a massive wave of dreams and visions just before the Day of the Lord as prophecied in Joel. However this will be an unusual and very distinctive event. I imagine that the dreams and visions will have a single and emphatic message which will clearly be from the Lord.
Also when a prophet dreams there is no interpretation required. God makes it clear at the same time what the meaning of the dream is. There is no guessing. In fact usually God speaks directly in the dream with direct words which required no interpretation. This was the example of Joseph, parent of Jesus who was told directly in dreams to flee to Egypt and to marry Mary. No interpretation was necessary.
Daniel always explained what his dreams meant. Daniel 7:1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.
God always gives the understanding of the dream.
The other thing which marks a dream from God is that there is always a practical and direct action which is required or instructed by the dream. Or it gives useful knowledge of the future which can directly be acted upon in the future. God never gives vague dreams with uncertain interpretations which have no particular point or lead to no action. Nor does he give dreams which basically just rehash what he has already said in his Word, the scriptures.
Anyway I hope that everyone will take this to heart and fear the Lord their God before they publish their dreams and guesses as to what meaning they might have. Please test your dreams with the above criteria before publishing them or placing too much stock or interest in them.
Heed the warning above that the multiplication of dreams which are not obviously from God is at best vanity
and at its worst the idolatry of the mystery Babylon.
