Two different tongues what Apostle Paul spoke of in the Holy Bible and as revealed by God once again through His holy apostles today.
Holy Spirit baptism always comes with the sign of Speaking in Tongues (pray with the Spirit). Every Christian baptized with the Holy Spirit speaks in tongues (as the Holy Bible testifies). Speaking in tongues is not the Holy Spirit baptism, but the witness God testifies for every Christian who receives the Holy Spirit baptism. This prayer in tongues is spoken individually to God during personal fellowship with Him. If we have the wonderful experience of praying in tongues, then we can be sure that we have received the Holy Spirit baptism. Through a language (tongue utterance) people regard as foolish, men are brought to humility and in total subjection to the Holy Father so that the grace of God may be manifested even more. It is the command of the Lord Jesus Christ to receive the Holy Spirit baptism. This is the worship in Spirit God desires.
Now the gift of tongues or preaching (prophesying) in tongues are spoken by gifted Christians to the congregation during Church services only. It is one of the spiritual gifts God sets up in the Church. God does not give this gift to everyone but only those of the Church who desire it. It is used to convey the Truth from God to His people in meetings and services so the congregation may be edified. Since this preaching in tongues concerns everyone, it must be interpreted by a member who has the gift of interpretation so that all may understand God's message and be edified. Now spiritual gifts are only given by God to those who have humbly received the Holy Spirit baptism. It is truly a shakening experience when God speaks to His Church.
There are many false pastors and witnesses who reject and even oppose the Holy Spirit baptism prayer in tongues simply because they have never experienced it. These false shepherds even prevent others from receiving it. They are guilty of taking away from the Words of the Holy Bible. They do not know that tongue utterance is the wisdom and power of God. There are many believers everywhere who are unable to edify the congregation in Truth and Holiness because they fail to receive the Holy Spirit. This is extremely sad and shameful before God and our Lord Jesus Christ.
