Full Version: The 'lukewarm'

Christianity Today ran a story about a year ago that falls in line with the “strong delusion” of lies that have been foisted upon the ‘lukewarm’ church today. It was titled, "Come, Lord Jesus, but Not Too Soon."

Reading between the lines of the story, some were saying, "I want to enjoy life here a bit longer"; I want to see my kids and grandkids grow up and get married"; "I'm just not ready to say 'good-bye' to this life quite yet".

Or the classic, "People have been predicting the Lord's return for centuries, yet it has never happened," which is just another way of saying, "Those goofy date-setters spoiled it for me." I have always said, shame on the date-setters or believers of Daniels, 2300 day vision.

If the ‘vision of the Roadmap to Peace’ has been raised up with the ‘antichrist’ dividing the land, why can’t we Christians be revved up by the soon ‘glorious’ return of our King?, why are some Christians too earthly minded to care one whit about Yeshuas' return?

He is the "blessed hope" of Titus 2:13. Does earthly business come before their “blessed hope”?

Am I painting with a broad brush, No, but the minimal response to my postings speaks volumes and I do get private emails from people waiting, longing, and praying for His return!

Have we forgotten that there is a ‘special crown’ for those longing for His appearing (II Timothy 4:8). Those longing ‘will receive’ that’s a promise from our Father.

Remaining apathetic and lukewarm in such a time as this is not a good position to be, do the Laodiceans come to mind (Revelation 3:13-19, Yeshua, didn’t have a lot of good things to say about those lukewarm, and most of all, at His return.

Watch your sports fans today who are out of their minds with enthusiasm. The Muslims are more enthused about their so called Mahdis’ return. While many Christians are out of their minds with earthly pleasures and some even suggesting that Yeshua delay His return.

So while satan is having a field day with Muslims getting them to believe a lie, he has scored innumerable points MAKING CHRISTIANS APATHETIC about the truth of the 2300 day visions countdown!

The "last days" are comparable to "the days of Noah." Nobody wanted to hear the warnings, laughing and scoffing as the countdown progressed. So I expect this atmosphere leading up to His return to exist.
The "signs of the times" of the ‘last days’ are usually negative but that doesn’t mean we need to miss our “crown of expectation”!

Giving Him the glory, gavrial

You should not be surprised or upset brother, because there is nothing stronger than a prophetic word coming into fulfilment!

QUOTE
2 Timothy 3
1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

There is a command here as well:From such turn away.

Some are sitting in dead institutions they call "church" that preaches nothing to them, but what their ears want to hear. They have a form of godliness, but they are denying the power thereof.

The ever learning and never coming to the knowledge of truth is SUCH a scary verse. How would one know if you are never coming to the knowledge of truth! : You would not know is you do not know the Word.

QUOTE
Psalm 119:160

160The sum of Your word is truth,
And every one of Your righteous ordinances is everlasting.

Some people believe doctrines based on a verse, but it does not work in the "sum"

They aren't in expectation because their king has already come

"I want you to bless him...speak a blessing to him...would you do that? Reach your hand to speak a blessing to him?"

[sarcastic]I'm wondering if it's okay to promote under age drunkeness?[/sarcastic]

Isaiah 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.

You've got it!

Amos 5
16 Therefore the Lord God of hosts, the Lord, says this: "There shall be wailing in all streets, And they shall say in all the highways, 'Alas! Alas!' They shall call the farmer to mourning, And skillful lamenters to wailing.
17 In all vineyards there shall be wailing, For I will pass through you," Says the Lord.
18 Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord! For what good is the day of the Lord to you? It will be darkness, and not light.
19 It will be as though a man fled from a lion, And a bear met him! Or as though he went into the house, Leaned his hand on the wall, And a serpent bit him!
20 Is not the day of the Lord darkness, and not light? Is it not very dark, with no brightness in it?

Luke 18
8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?"

23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
