Let's not forget that Belshazzar lost his kingdom to the Medes and Persians. Iran is modern Persia (the bear with 3 ribs in it's mouth)

I certainly have no issue with Suddam being executed, I agree what he did was wrong....and I certainly did not mean to offend any bush supporters, I am looking at it from the perspective of first of all, not believing in this war at all...and then having one of my very best friends without her husband at present...carrying her unborn child, and raising another without a father - why? Because her soldier husband was killed IN COLD BLOOD over in Iraq, fighting a war without a real cause, a war he didn't truly believe in either, but was told he had to be a part of. I don't believe that was of God. It was of man.

As for meeting God, Miki, I know God, I live for God - and just becuase I refuse to condone a war that is occuring for no real reason (there were NO weapons of mass destruction found, which is what this war was based on), is hardly a reason to infer that I do not know God, or adhere to His commandments.
Fighting against evil is NEVER in vain. Sitting on one's haunches and allowing evil to flourish is just as evil as committing the evil himself. I can count one ONE hand the members of my family who have not been in the military, and willing to die to prevent evil- Hitler, Pol Pot, Saddam, the list goes on. My dear brother has been to Iraq a couple of times now, and may go back to Afganistan. Everybody is going to die eventually, whether it be from old age, cancer, heart disease, or a drunk on the road. Out of all the possibilities of death, there is no more honorable death then fighting for right and the defeat of murderous tyrants, and it is never in vain (unless the objective is not met, and withdrawal is done to soon). The most sickening of our soldier's deaths was on the news not long ago. He fought honorably in Iraq only to be murdered by street thug 'gangsta's' after returning home. That is a death in vain. Your friend's loss of her husband was not in vain.
As for no weapons of mass destruction being found? Well, let's see. The U.N. sat on it's tails for so long that they ended up in Syria and other friends of Saddam's regime. U.N. inspectors chased 18-wheelers across the dessert that were MOBILE LABS until stopped by SH's soldiers. Many years ago we supplied them with anthrax vaccines for their livestock, so we were guilty of that part. However, france and a couple of smaller countries (france was predominant) supplied them with the lab equipment for making chemical weapons and the equipment neccessary to weaponize anthrax. Weapon delivery systems (missiles) were supplied by primarily by germany. Some of those those HAVE been found and traced to manufacturor. Why else would have our main two european opponents to going after SH be other than france and germany? Saddam used both chemical and biological weapons on his victims, of course he had them, duh.
Unfortunately many people have listened to liberal media for far to long and actually think that there is only one 'war' going on, when in reality there were and are three.
1) Going after osama bin laden for his terrorism. (Seperate issue)
2) Going after Saddam for his defiance of U.N. sanctions, war-crimes, and crimes against humanity. (Seperate issue.)
And this one, which no one will ever hear coming from a P.C. politician's mouth, and will continue to be ignored by the secular world;
3) The war against Christianity and Judaism by islam in their quest for world domination.
In Christ, Angela

by the way...
the movie "One Night with the King" was on last night...the underlying
story based upon the Book of Esther. Hadassah was known as
Ester of Sussa. Story placed in Persia.
Haman went to the gallows in like manner that he plotted the deaths
of the Jews and the Kings household ultimately.
the Book of Ester is the only one that does not use Gods name,
however it uses acrostics...like the Bible Codes that Shekel is
working on...and the acrostics speak of God...so it is a matter to be
revealed...
it is God who conceals a thing, and a king to reveal it...
the back drop of this story goes back to the time of Saul and Samuel,
and the enemy of God, and His people, Amalek. This spirit is still
with us as Saul fell into disobedience and didn't strike the last Amalekite
down...that wicked seed came forth...and from generation to
generation...that hatred flows...we have to recognized it...
as the weapons of our warfare are not carnal...we pull down
strongholds in prayer...fasting and prayer...yes?
my prayer, Father, help us do this...help us to understand a matter
and lean not upon our own understanding, but to fear not...
and do what you have set before us with humility and grace.
blessings,

Once passifist by being unwilling to act unless I knew who I was harming or helping, the the activist out of spite for so long in inaction, I am now the culmination of both. I don not believe we can fight evil. Evil is backed by beings unseen and far more powerful than ourselves. But I do believe that prayer and following the will of Jehovah by allowing Jesus to act through our hands and feet will defeat evil.
And I do not believe it is semantics. It is either you or not you and if it is you then you will loose. It must be Jesus. The unseen must do as He says. I think that is what He ment when he said "In My name".
It is odd how so much of the revelations in Daniel and Jerimiah and even Revelation can go unnoticed by those of us on this side of the world not living in the day to day over there. They sent gifts? This escaped me...and still, at the same time and not hearing from CNN, I held a conversation with a christian working at my home, "Remember the giving of gifts in Revelation? That always worries me around Christmas time."
Over here, it is much easier to stay in the Spirit and get things right. Over there, perhaps one could look around int he physical and say, "ah, yes, there it is and there that is!" But news coming over her is filtered and biased and perhaps not enough to be sure that news points to scripture. Here, words and actions in the world around us, felt by the heart to point to scripture, can be much more illuminating.
I am sure we need both for confirmation. Thanks, Sheckel for the information via Email.

Tried to click on link but "page cannot be displayed". Where can I get this info???
SENTEAMI, (SANT- AH-MEE)
my name comes from a small winding street among ancient gardens where I spent my youth, in Metz, France. The town has now grown around it, yet the street and name remain. It means "SENTE A MI" (French for "path o' mine"). I have heard that a couple of lovers used to meet and greet in this street on a regular basis.
It has a feel of "ancient French province" don't it? :)
