A person must love the Lord first, secondly the person must love and be servants to one another; Love thy neighbor as you love thyself. Then will the Lord send his Holy Spirit onto that person.

The person must not only Love the Lord. But they must Love the Lord with all of their heart all of their mind and all of their might. Then and only then can they see straight enough to love their neighbor as their self. Because if the Lord said you must hate your life. Then wouldn't I hate my neighbors life too. Or do you think that may be Luke got this part wrong? and it is more what Matthew and Mark said leave them not hate them.

The Ruach HaKodesh is God's Holy Spirit. And you do remember the scripture that says in romans 8 If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ They are not His?

the be born again you ahve to be born of BOTH water and the spirit.

John Baptised wiht the wters of repentance, the son of Man came so you would be baptised with fire... (the spirit)

Chrsit told Nicodemus you must be baptised by BOTH water (baptism in water) and the spirit (God's sealing of the water baptism by the sending of his spirit in you)

You are not saved until this seal occurs... Chrsit says both must occur as part of this one baptism ,(has two parts)

T he early church did baptise children but children are under the covering of their parents, the household... LAter, they underwent a bar mitzvah type initiaation whiuch has been preserved by us today by the sacrament of confirmation..... it is the coming of age and pesonal responsibility, HEre, you renew ythe baptisimal rites your parents took for you at birth and make a personal declaration....
