Correct me please Miki, but hasn't the sun activity been kind of unusually quiet for a while?

I don't know grace..I haven't kept up on it. I just happened on the article. I think we've been in a stretch of inactivity and we are suppose to be on 11 year cycles but for some reason she has been irregular..(maybe she's pregnant)
RADIO-ACTIVE SUNSPOT: Behemoth sunspot 1045 is crackling with M-class solar flares--and that's not all. "There have been many loud shortwave radio bursts over the past two days," reports amateur radio astronomer Thomas Ashcraft of New Mexico. "Some of the bursts have completely saturated my receivers." Just listen to the sounds coming from the loudspeakers in his observatory. (continued below)

The roaring sounds you just heard were mainly Type III radio bursts, caused by beams of electrons streaming through the sun's outer atmosphere. Sunspot 1045 appears poised to explosively accelerate more electrons in the days ahead as the flare-show continues. Ham radio operators, point your Yagis toward the sun!

The flares from this spot will reach here tomorrow and the next day. Should be some good auroras..

Hi,
Thanks for the info on sunspots.
i heard all was very quite on the mccanney science site and it really didn't register until very recently about it.
Ages ago, maybe couple years? not really sure all i remember is there were lots of sunspots and huge hurricanes being caused by them and i emailed miche about it ... suggesting a prayer group to pray for it to quieten down,
i prayed a heartfelt prayer about it and the sun spots went quiet and thought no more about it until recently when mccanney was saying how unuasally quiet things were and had been for a long time!!
Then it registered...the prayer for sunspots etc to die down and be quiet was still in force!
I have prayed (thinking of elijah/elishah stopping rain etc) for things to go back to normal.
I remember after first prayer how awesome it was that sun just went quite, after a fairly short heartfelt prayer. I think maccaney said the inactivity was causing climate change and this cold weather etc
Now things are back to normal? and the sunspots are kicking in, which should help weather and future crop harvests etc, unless something else comes into play.
Hopefully this doesn't sound to "off the wall", it is awesome the power of heartfelt prayer!
ps. don't blame me for all the snow you may have and no i don't want it - you may hold onto it or send it away.
from a purely lazy selfish point of view....
the otherday snow was forcast and it was snowing light about 1/4 to 1/2 inch...as our outside gazebo collapsed last heavy snow and is in a sorry state and heavily patched up ...i didn't want to have to go out and clear the mess up..so prayed about snow and comanded it not to cause damage...
end result..the weather got colder and stopped snowing and next day sunshone and most went..the heavy snow never came.
We have dominion over the weather (it's just remembering that and speaking to the weather).
My son at school had a friend who used to ask him to pray to stop the rain so he could play football in the lunch hour...it worked everytime throughout my sons time at school - a powerfull witness to my sons friend!
anyway thought i'd share that with you for what it is worth

Miki, I just watched a video called "Attack of the Sun" and it reminded me of your post. Here is the link:

I heard some interesting info like when these sun spots happen whether it is a solar breeze or CME (radiation) that hits the earth it exposes pilots and flight attendants especially flights near the poles with additional radiation. In turn this causes them to have higher incidences of cancer. Sure enough WebMD verifies that there is a higher incidence of cancer (breast and skin) in "flight crews". But WebMD says the reason isn't certain. Go figure.
Another thing the video said was the earth spins around on it's axis once every 24 hours. This has an effect on molten iron welling up from deep within it's core. Much like the alternator of your car these plumes of hot metal generates magnetic fields that extend beyond our atmosphere and enshroud the earth in a protective field. It's strong but not inpenetratable.
These thing cause me to think about all the earthquake activity especially around Yellowstone (super volcano) and the string (6 of them?) of volcanoes that were active in Russia at the turn of the new year and what affect if any this would have on the earth's magnetic sheild. In deed "maybe she's pregnant" could be relevant so to speak.
BTW Illinois had an earthquake today. I heard but don't know as a knowledgeable fact that the earthquake activity in California with the moving of the plates has an affect on the lava under Yellowstone.
