I'm with diversteach on this one. He's got all the charisma and following you'd expect. If nothing else, can we agree he's a type and shadow of the AC to come?

On a side note, most people I know (especially my family) think I'm waaaay too interested in current events and the end times stuff. Does anyone else get that from people they know? How do you handle it?

For me, I'm very selective to whom I share these thing with, because most people are just freaked out and can't handle it. And they are not necessarily non-Christians; there are some Christians I know who just want to hear happy-go-lucky stuff and none of the pending horrors of prophecy. Needless to say, it surprises me.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
- John 3:16 -

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
- Galatians 2:20 -

Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.
- Deuteronomy 7:9 -

For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. . .
- Psalm 37:28 -

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.
- 1 John 4:16 -

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'
This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
- Matthew 22:37-39 -

Yes you are right 7 Thunders!
But it does not surprise me.

(the "you" in the following is in general).

Seeing what you have wished for, tribulation, here it is.
Enjoy the show? Of course not.
You expected a cosmic light show
the next sensation in the Circus.

But be ye of good cheer, you who believe in Him!
For you know you will be unharmed in SINCERE PRAYER FROM THE HEART.
The Good God has made it even simpler to do this:
THE LORD PRAYER.

10 lines to Salvation! Amen.

Matthew 6:9-13

Verdict by the High and Mighty Todd:
Josepha has been violating the forum rules:
"We respectfully ask that all members act in a courteous manner towards others, regardless of opinion and belief. " Josepha has been treating many members in a non-courteous manner. Posting disabled for 5 days.

Is this your way of saying that as long as they present things "nicely" they can blaspheme?

Enjoying the weather lately? You are unaware of what actually caused it, do you?

Matthew 27
[14] And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

What Recession? The $170 Million Inauguration
Obama's Inauguration Has Been Financed Partially by Bailed-Out Wall Street Executives
http://abcnews.go.co...o...5946&page=1

(3 page article)

There seems to be an INFLATION in the cost of Inauguration...somebody serve me some Chicken salad...what Pres. served Chicken salad at his Inauguration dinner...and I will give you a hint, it was because of the economy.

While "O" seems to thik he is following in Lincolns footsteps...he would have done better following in someone elses...with the expense of this affair! IMO, of course.

Then the talk about whatdesigner dress is Michelle wearing to the big events? One presidential wife, recycled a dress...that would be the best thing considering the expense already!

OY! :o

John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Psalms 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Matthew 18:35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

REDEEMED and FORGIVEN! PRAISE the LORD!

Doing the LORD'S WORK is more important than personal gain. (See Ezra 5:1-5 and Haggai 1.) If the LORD is doing a WORK, I want to be serving HIM in it.

Do you know JESUS? HE's my BEST FRIEND.

Psalms 118:26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

May the LORD bless you always, Susan

For me, I'm very selective to whom I share these thing with, because most people are just freaked out and can't handle it. And they are not necessarily non-Christians; there are some Christians I know who just want to hear happy-go-lucky stuff and none of the pending horrors of prophecy. It comes down to our basic interest in discovering the mysteries of God.
Some people like to fill their lives with petty trivial jargen, stuff said purely for the pursuit of instant gratification, but with no true value at all. Many cannot recognize Truth or even understand the value of it, instead they wish to hear anything that will make them "feel good".

But we are not hear to speak to people the words they want to hear, we are hear to speak the truth, and if they cannot receive the truth, then that is a decision of theirs, but still we should stick to our own duty. It is hard, I know, I have no friends who wish to hear anything about anything, many times I have been rejected as a "stupid Christian" even by those I once considered close friends, simply because I would not involve myself in sinful activities or take pleasure in slander, and many things provide instant gratification but are bad for the soul.

From these things I walked away, and because of it, many turned against me.
But if I had stayed amongst those who sin, and did their works, then what good have I done? I have only justified their sin by my partaking of it.
Instead we are like sheep amongst wolves, we are examples, we are not here to "make everyone happy", we are here to do the Lords work. The world may hate as, because they also hated he who came before us, they reject the truth and they hate our example because it is a testimony to the vanity of our old ways, the ways those who reject Christ still cherish above God.

Much of my relief is here, in this forum, here I am made friends, even if our relationship is much different to those i once considered friends. The Words I share and receive here are meaningful, and I am brought closer to the Lord through my experience here.

Now my relationship with my friends is different, they no longer have the power to speak against me, for I am with the Lord and there is none who have power to speak against the Truth. Those who once came upon me to cause me pain and have me fall from my way, now avoid me, not wishing to do their works in my presence, they wish to hide from the truth, and they have become blond in their sin. But those the Lord brings to my attention, they have a desire to be saved, they embrace the truth spoken through me, and they become my true brethren in Christ. Now is my family true, because those who are my family are together with me in Christ, and the Words we speak edify each other.

How do I handle the Words spoken against me by those who deny Christ?
I perceive only the truth, and their empty words are like a brass horn in my ear. They have no meaning, because they are vain words, empty words, words that cease to exist once they are spoken, because I give them no place to rest in me. These words instead will fill he who spoke them, and so his words are only against himself, and it is his soul he hurts. If I am afflicted, it is only because I have pity for those that speak against me.

Wished for? You're full of it.

It's all prophesied.

Read Isaiah, Daniel, Amos, Jeremiah, Zachariah, Matthew, Revelation; it's all right there in your little Bible, Sonny Boy.

You need a reality check, be careful that God doesn't give it to you.

Ditto for me!
But also, here in Australia if you talk about the US most people just don't understand the interest... I guess I spend so much time in here that I even dream about Obama! Ahhhh well. Some people just aren't that tuned into prophecy and when I come to explain, there is just too much to explain.... the subject is too complex and there are so many prophecies, you just can't have a 5 minute discussion.... you need to spend time and delve deeper.
Personally, I don't think Obama is the ac but I don't think he will be good for the US.
One of the most overlooked things is to teach people to listen to what God is saying. What is the still small inner voice saying to that person? This is more important than teaching rules and debating things, which can become "mind things" because once that person starts listening to God then He will guide them into all truth. It's essential that they look to Him, not follow a person or a ministry, no matter how good those things are. Be intimate with God, there is no limit on how close you can get to Him :) You can get intimate with God by finding out about Him in the bible, keep asking Him to show you what matters to Him and what He thinks. Ask Him to speak into your spirit.
