Ahem....
The Ark of Noah story....where shall we begin?
We now have cataloged well over 350,000 distinct species of beetles alone.
Am I to believe that one old man collected two of each of these, put them on a boat and then proceeded with the other thousands of species of animals?
Do any of you fine people ever wonder how a Middle Easterner ever got hold of two polar bears ?
It has been said that two things are limitless: the universe and human stupidity.
I am not so sure about the former.
You people are very, very scary.

"And the Philistines gathered themselves together to fight with Israel,
thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen,
and people as the sand which is on the sea shore in multitude:
and they came up, and pitched in Michmash, eastward from Bethaven." [OT]
Put "sand" into a bible search engine.
People know there were not literally as many people as "sand on the sea shore"
[how long a stretch of sea shore ? 100 feet ? 100 yards ? mile ? 10 miles ?]
But there was a lot of people by their reckoning.
How much of the story of Noah is absolutely literal, and how much "poetic liscense" is mixed in is debateable.
I would agree that Noah's ark probably did NOT contain a specimen of EACH and EVERY living thing on earth.
But I am confident Noah's ark had a bunch of critters.
And God could/did perserve all the rest God chose to perserve.
God can do things we can't do.
God can do/has done things we've not imagined.
God can do/has done things we CANNOT imagine.
Claim God does not exist if you will.
But if God exist [and many of us KNOW God does exist]
then "all things are possible" and "miracles" should be EXPECTED.
