People know there were not literally as many people as "sand on the sea shore"

[how long a stretch of sea shore ? 100 feet ? 100 yards ? mile ? 10 miles ?]

But there was a lot of people by their reckoning.

How much of the story of Noah is absolutely literal, and how much "poetic liscense" is mixed in is debateable.

I would agree that Noah's ark probably did NOT contain a specimen of EACH and EVERY living thing on earth.

But I am confident Noah's ark had a bunch of critters.

And God could/did perserve all the rest God chose to perserve.

God can do things we can't do.
God can do/has done things we've not imagined.
God can do/has done things we CANNOT imagine.

Claim God does not exist if you will.

But if God exist [and many of us KNOW God does exist]

then "all things are possible" and "miracles" should be EXPECTED.

If we wait another few hundred years the number of distinct beetle species could become 400,000 or more. The more species there are the more mutations will take place in a given period of time and we have no idea how many beetle species survived the flood in the ark. However, male humans will continue to have only one 'Y' chromsome. That should be evidence enough that all males living since the time of Noah and the flood are descended from Adam because Noah was a direct descendant of Adam.

Human females? Genomic studies have narrowed the number down to 4, each of the four have an A, C, G or T 'Dna' sequence or building block in their genes. Noah and his sons had four wives. The Sons of God, sons of Adam and Eve, went in unto the daughters of men, daughters of the males and females God created on the sixth day, and had children by them. All males and females, except Noah, his three sons and their four wives, died in the flood.

You can take it from there.

Eye hath not seen nor ear heard nor hath it entered into the heart of man the things God has prepared for those who love Him.

In order to partake of His love you have to believe God is and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. When your do, V, if your soul is not already saved, it will be saved, because God's love is limitless.

If you think me obtuse I'd like to suggest that you go to your local zoo and jump in the polar bear cage and try to make nice with these recalcitrant carnivores.

i suppose that the ark had 1 pair of bears,
but not every species of bears on earth,,
after the flood, the bears adapted to different environments,,,,such as, bears in the arctic became polar bears...

and God caused, by miracle, the pairs to come to the ark,,,and behave in the ark (no fighting), by miracle

just as, the Flood itself was a MIRACLE,

the bears could have been toddlers, or teen-agers,,,(not huge adults),,,i'm guessing

same for beetles:
the ark had only 1 KIND of beetle,,,,after the Flood,,,,,,,many adaptations created many different varieties and species of beetles

the earth was a VERY DIFFERENT place before the Flood:
climate
geology
biology
atmosphere
water cycle
theology
longevity of people and animals
size of people and animals
growth rate of animals and plants

in my area, there are 100 foot-thick-beds of pure clams in limestone rock....the clams are side by side,,, cheek by jowl,,,,,with nothing else at all, except a few shark teeth mixed in

where did all these clams come from?....in such a pure, thick bed?
why are these beds not forming today?
it was the Flood!
