This is the most informative and helpful spiritual website I have ever seen! I don't post much due to my inability to decode all of the things going on in my brain about what I am hearing and experiencing from God. I will just humbly watch and learn... and pray! I hope I can help now and then with whatever Word I feel is appropriate.. sometimes when I am on the board, something just jumps out at me and God tells me to type!! I don't know why, but it just happens.
Thank you all for your words of wisdom. I am worried about my family in NY as there has been so much talk about NY being the next disaster. They are all I have left in life (besides JESUS!!!) in my immediate family.

Marta, exactly!!! God only knows... thanks for the map... I had no idea it was as close to land as I see it now... God steers the wind and He knows exactly where it will go. Maria... something in that name!!! The next name for a hurricane will be Nate.. will have to search that one out. hm...

Hurricane Maria only threat to shipping
Monday, September 5, 2005; Posted: 7:52 a.m. EDT (11:52 GMT)
MIAMI, Florida (AP) -- Hurricane Maria continued to intensify early Monday over warm water in the open Atlantic, but remained only a threat to shipping interests, forecasters said.
Its top wind speeds were up to 90 mph, and the system was expected to strengthen before reaching cooler waters -- which are expected to sap Maria of its strength later in the week.
At 5 a.m. EDT, the storm was centered 465 miles east of Bermuda.
It was moving north-northwest at 10 mph. Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center said gradual turns to the north and northeast would keep Maria well to the east of Bermuda.
Maria is the fifth hurricane and 13th named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season, one of the busiest on record. (evil #13)
Historically, only about four or five named storms form by this time of year, according to the hurricane center.
Peak storm activity typically occurs from the end of August through mid-September.
The season began June 1 and ends November 30.

on this very thread title, you will see this:

what came to mind just today, just now?
well, when i watched a program recently about the lead-up to 9-11, there was the part about Mohammad Atta the lead hi-jakcker....
it was stated that when the arrangements were made, he made a phone call, to indicate the date decided upon, encrypted in this message:
"TWO STICKS, A DASH, AND A CAKE WITH A STICK"
this was to be understood by the receiver of the message that it was to stand for 11 September. (2 sticks, the 11, and the cake, (Round) with a stick for the number 9.)
(did anyone else see that program?)
well looking at the title: NHC..
the two sticks at the bottom of 'H', put together, becomes a 'Y'.
and NYC.
you can be sure that al-queda wants to have their "cake" and "eat it too".
"two, two, two mints in one."
"double your pleasure, double your fun"
and this sort of thing goes through my mind....
and i am frightened.
two places were hit on 9-11.
and two towers.
and in one hour.
and i am in great distress that it is coming again.
dear, dear rose, your family? can you get them to leave?
i am sick at heart over this and it will not leave me.
i told a friend about this 2 years ago...i "knew/saw" from scripture, it would come again, right after 9-11...that he should leave NYC....
and he did leave....
he said he was having those same dread feelings. described them to me.
he moved back to Michigan to be with his family there.
i recently heard from him. his father had passed away.
i hope/pray i am just WRONG. .....but it will not go away.
the thought will just not go away from me.
i cry.

Wow, BZ.. this is a lot to take in! I sent you an email, but don't know if your email addy is correct. I don't think I can get my family to move out of NY and besides, they think I'm a kook for my being a fanatic Christian. My dad has diabetes and just lost his job. I have been trying to get him to come and live with me, but my husband has been out of a job too and just getting back on his feet. We have three children and have outgrown this home in the last 10 years.. there is just no room to put anyone and we're stressed with financial difficulties. If only there was a way to get everyone in one place, but they won't hear it from me. I have only to pray.
Thanks for thinking of me and my family. My closest friends are in NY too and they will not heed the warning from a doomsdayer (what they call me!)... I have tried to talk to them about the dangers ahead, but they think it's all made up hype. So, I keep the oil in my lamp and do what I can from here.
Praying for the safety of all in the days and months ahead. I do believe there really are only days and months. Years would be unfathomable at this point.

Thanks Marta!! I have looked at them in the past few weeks, but everytime I read the codes for the hurricanes I find something new! (yeah, evil 13, yikes!)
