I just have a small story. I had a women down the street where I live right now. She came to me after finding out that we might have to move when finding our new church my hubby will be working at. She came to me and said that I was like her best friend, and that she was complaining to her hubby that we might leave.
She is not a christian. So I found that later on after our talk. I was asking myself why she would find herself feeling that way about me. I myself have never been in one place long enough to keep a best friend for years. I learned from my foster mother that G-d called me not to have best friends per-say, but to BE a best friend. So I just be myself, the best I can do in fellowing Jesus and what he would be proud of me for. And that is what I get. I get a person coming up, ready to cry, those that open themselves up to me like the wouldnt with others. I am asked what I think about things, and what the bible says. I always try and help out of love. I was upset just a bit because of the friends I was able to have in the other church, and the feeling of lose I was going through because of it. Yet this one women reminded me of what I was about! What G-d set me aside for! To love the lost! I have set back seeing other women for years get their christian friends, when i have a long memory list of those just like this women. It was a good reminder to me, that I need to be what I needed to be for those around me. I dont know if this will help others here. But I have but it down. Being christ to others through friendships are a big thing to some. So needed. I as well, could feel just how proud G-d was of me at that moment she told me this. She wanting me to stay and even said she was praying asking G-d for that. Not wanting to lose me. I was wowed that G-d let me hear this.
I make a goal for myself, to make a point of being that friend to the lost, knowing that it is much better then going after another saved friend...for the lost is who is in true needed of me. Or should I say Jesus, for I hope that is who they see!
Bug hugs!

'To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.' When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better.
