In regards to my last post about the right eye being silenced...

Is God giving us wisdom and counsel with his right eye...telling us if we covenant with the enemy we are doing it in exchange for our right eye? We will be nothing but tributes and useless in war
just like the Jabeshites were willing to do to spare their own lives? Will we see a Saul figure step into ageement with the religious authorities of the day to wipe out the neighborhood bullies?

Very interesting way of looking at it. And a good biblical illustration as well. I guess it stands as a warning for us all.

However, the basic picture is that of Jesus as the alpha ("Aleph") whose right eye is blinded, that is, the light of the world goes out when He died on the cross, only to be reignited in the resurrection three days later.

But there is an opposite to this, that is, the Antichrist in some way will also be struck down "by a deadly wound" only to rise again.

But on a personal level we should all take heed to walk in the light that we have, lest the light become darkness.

The Jabeshites were about to compromise with the ammonites by entering into covenant with them. The Ammonites had encamped around them. They were fearful and were considering agreeing with them to having their right eye put out in order to spare them from death.. Oh my gosh!..That's what the ammonites wanted so as to not make them useless..but just in war.

Can we see any similarities in the middle east right now?..Absolutely.

Saul intervened but only with the backing of Samuel..(Saul wasn't really established yet..this was his first real event in his new office) He threatened the people..They came over to Saul and Samuel's side and slew the Ammonites.

Is this what God's telling us? That the enemy want's to take our right eye? He want's us by threat subservient to him? Is the Lord giving his wisdom and counsel through this message?

Isn't this what the radical Muslims are doing to us by threat? Should we make a covenant with them and loose our own right eye and serve his? Good grief!

It makes me wonder if Obama is a type of Saul..Is his first engagement is on the horizon...Yikes!

If we enter into covenant will our right eye be put out so we are tributes but useless in war? Could be just what they want! The right eye could be symbolic of our communication systems.

It could be that God is communicating to you a prophetic message here. It all sounds reasonable to me.

Perhaps the antichrist will start off like Saul, good, but like Judas "the Son of Perdition", he will fall away to become antigod and antichrist?

Perhaps the scenario that you laid out is it, although I do not believe that Obama is the antichrist. But someone else who will arise, who at first does good for Israel only to turn bad later, at the cost of Israel losing it's sight.

Perhaps Israel will literally give up some of its surveillance ability in exchange for peace?

Anyway, interesting pondering it.

When you think about it, in this story, the city spared its natural vision only to loose their spiritual vision by following Saul as savior thereafter, thus blinded to David.

You can be sure that this city would be blindly loyal to Saul thereafter.

Perhaps a similar scenario will occur in Israel. The 'to be' antichrist delivers them from some kind of technological blindness only to become blindly loyal to him as a savior who eventually turns bad?

I know we are speculating, but sometimes God is in it and so it is more than speculation, it is revelation (in the lower sense of the word).

I don't think Obama is the antichrist either..I don't thing Saul was a type either..I know others differ on this..But that's why l think Obama can be a type of Saul..and still fit the bill without being ac.

David never touched him and respected his anointed position even if he'd lost the anointing.
And according to the event at Endor, Saul was going to be with Samuel the next day, in Abraham's bosom.

Also remember at this time Samuel was still behind him. Saul was stepping out ... but the people were so paranoid of the ammonites they would have never followed after him without Samuel's backing.

It's sort of funny really..They were in a catch 22...boxed in. Saul was threatening to butcher there oxen if they didn't go along with him..and the ammonites wanted to take their right eye..

Remember also it was the people who wanted Saul..and God was willing for the peoples sake to work with him if they remained obedient..

It may be a prophetic warning..Are we suppose to covenant with our enemies? Sometimes..Remember they covenanted with Babylon but broke it..(good grief).

This falling away had more to do with the people..God would have worked with them.
He put his Spirit in Saul...I know that's controversial too..

But l like how you remind of how the people loose their spiritual vision by following..

I don't think God pulls the plug unless he absolutely has to. Just like us with our own children.
Is God willing to work with Obama on behalf of his people? I think yes.

The enemy can blind us through technology..take our sight...
