The story of Vibia Perpetua is moving and instructive. What Christians are up against is powers and principalities, wickedness in high places. That was true then and is true now.

This was the most moving part of that! For me! I am moved at many of these stories, and find that one day, we might be honored enought to stand among them!

Abba, thanks for those that where stong enought to set an exsaple for us, and most of all, thank you for that mighty love you showwed by sending your wonderful son to died for us. Amen!

That is what caught me as well. The Holy Spirit gave those such as Vibia superhuman ability to stay calm and endure the suffering and stand for Jesus while encouraging others. Love casts out fear.
